Chickpea Chocolate Spread

Need more protein in your breakfast/snack? Try this chocolate spread recipe that is SUGAR FREE, DAIRY FREE, NUT FREE, LOW FAT… but high in protein and fiber! 

What you will need: Oven, strainer, blender/food processor, paper towel 

  • 1 can/pouch of chickpeas
  • 6 Medjool dates
  • 1/2 Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup hot water


    Next steps
  • Drain, rinse and dry the chickpeas. 
  • For a nutty flavor, roast chickpeas in the oven at 425°F/220°C for 30 minutes.
  • Blend with dates, cocoa and hot water until creamy consistency.
  • Storage in a jar and spread away!
