Golden Milk: Boost Immunity and Reduce Inflammation

Boost your immune system and reduce inflammation with this easy Golden Milk recipe, perfect for runners recovering from colds and bugs. Simple ingredients, quick to make.

During marathon training, I came down with a strong bug (who hasn’t?), and my nutrition coach recommended Golden Milk, or Turmeric Milk, to help me recover quickly and resume my training. Its ingredients strengthen the immune system and can alleviate inflammation.

I thought this would be a fantastic recipe to share with all my fellow runners battling a cold. Here it is:

⚡️1 ½ cups of light coconut milk

⚡️1 ½ cups of unsweetened plain almond milk

⚡️1 ½ teaspoons ground turmeric (Curcumin)

⚡️1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger)

⚡️1 whole cinnamon stick (or 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon)

⚡️1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)

⚡️1 pinch of ground black pepper

⚡️Sweetener of your choice (maple syrup, coconut sugar, or stevia to taste)

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan, simmer, and voilà!

Omit the coconut oil if you’re having the Golden Milk before bed, as it can have energizing effects.

Enjoy! And don’t forget to share and save! 🙏
